Shot Breakdowns

Character TD / Tangled

reel segment 1:
As a Character TD on Tangled my role has been the simulation of both cloth and hair, this also includes Generalist duties such as sculpt fixing and adjusting animation as needed to make sure things look and simulate properly. Many more shots will be available for viewing when the movie comes out. Tangled Official M`ovie Website

Character TD / Alice In Wonderland 2010
reel segment 2:
As a Character TD on on Alice In Wonderland my job was to run the cloth and hair on every character you see. This film required cloth and hair interaction including multi tiered garments as well as simulating elements non character related such as the windmill ropes and flaps behind the March Hare.
Character TD / Alvin and the Chipmunks 2

reel segment 3:
On Alvin And The Chimpunks 2 my primary role was cloth and hair simulation, but I also had many generalist duties such as sculpt fixing characters, and adjusting animation without violating animators performance. One of the biggest tasks was learning proprietary software within a couple weeks and being able to turn shots around in a fast manner.

Character TD / Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs

Character TD / Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs

reel segment 4:
Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs was one of my favorite films to work on. As a Character TD, the task of simming both hair and cloth on up to 32 characters for a 1 second shot was very overwhelming, and doing such tasks such as ramping on a gust of engine exhaust from a jet powered car, to make Flynn's hair and clothes burst into life was a great challenge. Although this film beat me up it's humor and quality will remain one of my favorite films.
Mel Scripting Pre - Vis City Maker

reel segment 5:
MEL Scripting is key to any large production, as it helps to speed up workflow and handle repetitive tasks quickly and efficiently. In this example I created a pre-vis city that uses primitives to represent large buildings, all with differen't heights and sizes. You can quickly set the amount of buildings in your city , street spacing and parking lots with primitive cubes representing cars. All this takes just a click of a button.
